Blessed Are | The Beatitudes

As we remember the words of Jesus who said “I am the way, the truth, and the life” and reflect on the early Christians who were known as followers of “the way”, we must reconcile what it means for us to follow in the way of Jesus in our context today.   What is the way of Jesus? In one of His most famous teachings, Jesus depicts a picture of what the Kingdom of God is like, and invites us each into that way of life through a series of blessings known as The Beatitudes. While this way of Jesus may appear counter-cultural to some, there is blessing and joy to be found by all.
